Opening Words

Wind that whispers through the willow trees
Sun that sustains us
Water that washes over willing earth and weathered stones

A smile shared and savored
A child’s squeal of delight as she dances in the daisies and daffodils
The quiet joy of gathered community

This, this is the spirit of life and love that we call forth now into this gathering
May this spirit infuse our hearts, fill our souls, and carry us forward like a wave on the ocean
as we enter now into this sacred time and space.

Come, let us worship together.

Meditation/Prayer

Spirit of life and love,

Help us to be grounded in ourselves this morning.
The busyness of life
The many troubles of the world
Conflict with others
Anger, sadness, grief

All of these can pull us out of the center of ourselves.

Help us this morning to find that grounding
Help any anxiety flow out
Help us set aside our anger
Help ease any sadness

And help our energy flow in
Our loving energy
The love of our friends and family
The love of this gathered community
Help that love flow into the center of our being

So that we can rest, just rest
And be held
For a moment.

Pause

As we exit this sacred space later this morning
And go back into the routine of our lives this week
Help us find this space of internal rest and comfort
In the activities in our life
The things that bring us joy and spontaneity
Be it singing, painting, writing, dancing, laughing or something else.

May these moments of joy in the upcoming week
Connect us and reconnect us with this center of ourselves.
